A fantastic morning for iInvest with Joann one of the 4 key speakers at the Gold Coast Early Rises Breakfast at the Sofitel Broadbeach, with thanks to Karen Phillips and the team at the Women in Business Awards.
The event focused on “Mindfulness, Money and Miracles” with Joann talking about the importance of starting a savings plan early in life and being consistent with that plan. She discussed that it’s never too late to start and it only takes a small amount of money to get started.
Joann also discussed the importance of looking at alternative investments in this low interest rate environment, with shares constantly outperforming other asset classes over the long term. Why leave your money in a savings account earning 2% when bank shares are currently yielding 6.5% on average.
Currently women are retiring with superannuation savings at roughly half the rate of men, making it important for women to focus on their financial independence early in life.
Joann discussed iInvest’s new strategy – “iInvest For Me”, which puts you in the driver’s seat in regard to starting a share investment plan. This strategy is particularly aimed at women.
We invite you to come along to one of our “Wine and Learn” evenings to learn more about iInvest for ME. There are three evenings in August (see the flyer) and we would love to see you.
